Alan K. Rode is a writer, film preservationist and historian. His books include: Michael Curtiz A Life in Film and Blood on the Moon. He regularly appears in documentaries and provides commentaries for classic films including High Noon, Shane and The Proud Rebel. He is the producer/host of the Arthur Lyons Film Noir Festival in Palm Springs and a charter director of the Film Noir Foundation www.filmnoirfoundation.org; Alan co-hosts several of the NOIR CITY film festivals and has been a regular presenter at the TCM Classic Film Festival and has appeared on TCM.
