Sheriff Ben Stride (Randolph Scott), is on the trail of seven robbers of the Wells Fargo office who also killed his wife during the hold-up. Along the way he meets up with a couple traveling in the same direction, as well as two ne’er-do-wells (Lee Marvin & Don “Red” Barry) who know Stride’s plan. Their plan is to let Stride lead them to the robbers who still may have the loot. Excellent Alabama Hills locations.  Directed by Budd Boetticher.
